About Us

Bexley Public Library was founded in 1924 and was originally located in Bexley High School. The library opened to the public on March 3, 1925. Bexley Public Library is one of seven independent public library districts in Franklin County, Ohio. The library’s primary source of funding comes from the Public Library Fund, a portion of Ohio’s tax revenue distributed to each county to divide among its local public libraries. In addition, a local operating levy was passed by Bexley residents in 2009.
