The Reference Department's collection of over 13,000 books of facts, newspapers from all over the US and world, 400 magazine subscriptions, and thousands of pamphlets and clippings are utilized by highly trained reference librarians in providing information services to thousands of library users each year.

In addition to provision of traditional information services from printed material, the Reference Department staff specializes in guiding both new and experienced Internet users in searching the Web and the more than 80 electronic databases on the library’s Local Area Network.
